If you remember only a few short years ago on Easter Sunday in Charlottesville, Mike Ballard tossed a no hitter against Boston College.
Tonight Ballard will make his Major League debut for the Texas Rangers against LA!

IF you have been listening to the show as late as last week, you know I got gunsy and decided to enter myself in a 5k with my triathlete cousin Randy on Friday.
I was scheduled to run my first 5k ever on July 19 but wanted to see where I stood in terms of being in shape.
Instead of embarrassing myself in Richmond, I figure it would be best to go back to a turf that already knows me as an absolute dope----my hometown.
Well I am happy to report, the return home was successful as I finished in 27 minutes 6 seconds and there was plenty of gas left in the tank. See you July 19 at Colonial Downs Derby Day 5k.....I am going to see if I can take a minute off my time.
Sidenote: Big ups to my cousin, Randy Brezski who finished second in his age division. The kid's a beast!!!!
