What a game Buffalo and Cleveland gave us to start off Week 5, bet you never thought you would hear those words. Here’s how I see the rest of the NFL weekend playing out, my pick for the game is in bold.
New England at Cincinnati: I feel the Bengals are going to come into this game like a wounded animal desperately needing to get back on the winning track.
Detroit at Green Bay: The NFC North is so hard to pick especially when they play each other, I think the Lions started something with that win over the Bears last weekend.
Seattle at Indianapolis: While the Seahawks are probably the best team in football, I don’t think anyone can go 16-0 these days. It’s going to be fun watching Russell Wilson take on Andrew Luck; I like Indy at home though.
Baltimore at Miami: Much like the Bengals the Ravens need a win to get back on track. While I do believe Miami will put up a fight, I think Baltimore’s defense can take care of Ryan Tannehill.
New Orleans at Chicago: The Saints look dangerous right now. Drew Brees and Sean Payton look like they are on a mission, and don’t look now but Rob Ryan has got their defense playing lights out.
Philadelphia at NY Giants: Much like Seattle, but on the reverse side, I don’t think anyone can go 0-16 these days. There is some talent on the Giants’ offense and Philly’s defense is terrible.
Kansas City at Tennessee: This is going to be a better game than most think. The Titans are 3-1 and look like they’re on the upside of things but Jake Locker going down for a little while is going to hurt.
Jacksonville at St. Louis: Do I really have to pick this game??? I guess the Rams because Jacksonville is just awful.
Carolina at Arizona: Well were not putting this game in the category of must watch game. I guess the Cardinals since they are 2-2 and the Panthers are a mess.
Denver at Dallas: This will probably be the game of the week and could be more of a shootout than people think, but how can you pick against Peyton Manning right now. Especially since Big D lost pass rusher Anthony Spencer for the season.
Houston at San Francisco: Both of these teams desperately need a statement win for the way their seasons have started. Expect this game to have the feel of two junkyard dogs going at it, but I like the 49ers chances better at home.
San Diego at Oakland: In a game that nobody on the East Coast will care about and probably won’t watch with its 11:35p start time Sunday night. Phillip Rivers looks like he’s trying to tell the league he’s not finished. For Oakland, while they have a decent defense, they have no protection for Terrell Pryor or Darren McFadden.
NY Jets at Atlanta: Who would have thought that the Jets would be 2-2 and the Falcons would be 1-3 when this game was first scheduled. Atlanta is in the same boat as Houston and San Francisco, so I expect them to attempt to turnaround their season with this game.
