Jesse has been with Clear Channel Media & Entertainment since 2010. He considers himself a Richmond transplant as he has lived in the River City for over 10 years now but grew up in the Western Maryland area. Deciding to attend VCU he studied Broadcast Journalism and English while spending time working at radio stations WVCW and WRIR. Jesse is currently the producer for the Wes McElroy Show as well as other shows for Sports Radio 910. Being from the Maryland area he is a diehard fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Capitals. Besides his work at Sports Radio 910 he also writes a blog for VCU basketball’s radio website.
The 2013 MLB Draft will go down over the next couple days, and it’s the longest draft out any sport holding 50 rounds. The state of Virginia has produced some top-notch baseball talent over the past few years; Justin Verlander (1st Rd 2nd overall ‘04), B.J. Upton (1st Rd 2nd overall ’02), Justin Upton (1st Rd 1st overall ’05), Cla Meredith (6th Rd 185th overall ‘05) and so many more. Baseball America ranks the top 500 prospects and they usually go in the first few rounds, almost 1500 players will be drafted throughout the weekend.
