Now that the VHSL has voted to change to the 6-classification system playoff football is forever changed.  

The Central Region will basic cease to exist after this year.  Teams will be divided by school size into classifications, sections and conferences.  Each classification will have a 32-team playoff bracket, seeded 1 to 16 in each section.

Varina and Hermitage meet Friday night in our game of the week on Sports Radio 910 but after this year won't be able to meet in the playoffs.  Varina will be Division 6 and Hermitage will be Division 5.
