Tim Duncan his a running 13 footer at the buzzer last night to lift San Antonio to a win over New Orleans.  Check it out.

The play actually reminded me of Magic Johnson's game winner at the Boston Garden in game 4 of the 1987 finals. Check that out...

Last week Jimmy and I both went 2-2 straight up and 1-3 against the spread.  So naturally we dive right back in this weekend.

New Orleans (-3 1/2) at San Francisco.  Jimmy and I both have the Saints winning and covering the spread.

Denver at New England (-13 1/2).  Jimmy is picking the Broncos to cover and win outright.  I go with the Patriots to win and cover.

Houston at Baltimore (-7 1/2).  Jimmy and I again agree.  We both think the Ravens will win but the Texans will cover the spread.

NY Giants at Green Bay (-7 1/2).  Jimmy takes the G-men to cover and win outright while I will go with the Pack to win and cover the spread.

The national title is on the line tonight in New Orleans when LSU and Alabama square off in the BCS National Championship game.  The top ranked Tigers are 13-0 while the second ranked Tide is 11-1.  

Back on November 5th they met and LSU came away with a 9-6 overtime win.  Alabama missed 4 field goals in that loss.  Here are the highlights of that one...

Tide kickers had a rought night vs LSU.  Cade Foster was 1 for 4 and Jeremy Shelley was 1 for 2.  Foster handles longer attempts and is 2 for 9 for the season while Shelley is 16 for 20.  LSU kicker Drew Alleman was 3 for 3 in that win.  With two stellar defenses in action, tonight's game may well again come down to the kickers.

Jordan Jefferson replaced Jarrett Lee at QB during November's win over Alabama and has played well since. Alabama's offense is led by running back and Heisman finalist Trent Richardson.  Defenses rule on these teams but the offense that makes the best adjustments and the fewest mistakes will hoist the trophy.

This morning on RMN, Jimmy and I made our NFL picks for the weekend....

We only agree on one game...we both say the Steelers will beat the Broncos and cover the 8 point spread...

We both think the Saints will beat the Lions...however I say the Saints will cover the 10 1/2 while Jimmy thinks the Lions will cover.

Jimmy picks the Bengals to beat the Texans while I am taking the Texans to win but for the Bengals to cover the 3 1/2.

Finally, I picked the Falcons to beat the Giants outright while Jimmy took the G-men to win and cover the 3.
